Hi there – I’m a writer and poet living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

In spring 2019 I received my bachelor’s degree in the journalism program at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, with an additional Digital Arts and Culture Certificate.

Since October 2018, I’ve worked as the Marketing & Communications Manager at Riveredge Nature Center. In my position at Riveredge I have the opportunity to research and write about nature-based topics, edit the writing of naturalists, and sometimes ghostwrite for colleagues. Additionally, Riveredge has provided an opportunity to work on my photography skills. Here is the Riveredge Instagram account, which I curate. See my personal Instagram account here.

In the past I’ve worked as the Communications Specialist at Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, have been a Pfister Hotel Narrator (story gatherer in residence) at Milwaukee’s historic “Grand Dame of the West” Pfister Hotel. Prior to that, at Milwaukee’s NPR station 89.7 WUWM, I’ve been a contributor of poetry, interviews and essays to the Lake Effect show.

As time permits I work on other projects that have been published in places such as Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, SIDEBURN Magazine, OnMilwaukeeMedia MilwaukeeWisconsin Bike Federation, and Ozaukee Magazine.

I love being active in every season. When it’s warm I ride motorcycles and bicycles to places where you can hear the birds. When it’s cold I chase deer, split firewood, and (if there’s snow) ski cross country.
